Author statement

For me, writing is all about communicating.  It’s a way of talking to lots of people on a one-to-one basis by telling them stories, and best of all I love stories that are about people and what makes them tick.

I write because I love reading, because I can’t think of anything better to do, and because I love the shape of stories – the way they help you make sense of things.

I believe books should be accessible, entertaining and intelligent.

My readers matter to me enormously, and I get a huge buzz out of hearing from them and meeting them.

Writing’s all about making connections!
